Description

The annual Winnetka Turkey Trot is Thanksgiving morning at the WINNETKA TRAIN STATION this year. Due to Covid, we have a new course and no water station. All kids will receive a #1 medal.

Everyone is REQUIRED to pick up packets. You can pick up a packet for a friend.

Day-of race registration can be paid via cash or check (made out to Carpe Diem Races) only. Hats are not guaranteed on race day.

Our main charity is the Wings Organization for women and children this year. We will post their donation needs the week before the race.

New Course

We moved the Start/Finish so it’s less congested! Runners will head north to weave through the scenic streets of Glencoe to return back on the trail to finish at the Hubbard Woods Station.

Accessibility

If you have a stroller or wheelchair, please park near the McDonalds parking lot and use the Tower Road Entrance to the trail that has a ramp. The address is 908 Old Green Bay Road. It’s less than two blocks from the start.

We currently need Course Marshals and Packet Pickup People for race day. Contact us to sign up.

Rain or Shine

The event will go on rain, shine, or snow. No cancellations or refunds. In the event of severe weather on race morning, we will communicate any changes to the schedule or race with all registered athletes via email, social media, and at the event.

There are public parking lots and street parking around the course.
